  7.       This is just a little note to say who I am, and what I think I am up
  8.  to! Well, my name is Pete Grant, and the relevant facts are that I am 
  9.  fairly new to computing. I have been a musician for years, working in
  10.  the theatre, as well as dabbling with blues bands and the like. In the past
  11.  year, I have been hit by illness and consequently stuck at home for most
  12.  of the time. Enter the Amiga! I have spent my time beginning to get to
  13.  know this great machine. I have also discovered the joys of OctaMED. I
  14.  had never really been  open to making music on the computer in the past,
  15.  but I have really enjoyed making these first few modules. It is like
  16.  learning to play a musical instrument all over again, and I am grateful to
  17.  have had something so interesting to do, these past months. I hope that
  18.  anyone listening enjoys the mods, and does bear in mind that we all have to
  19.  start somewhere!

  21.       You can load the mods by using the loading requester on the OctaMED 
  22.  player, or by double clicking on the mod icon of your choice. If you do
  23.  it this way, though, please remember to stop the mod and closing the 
  24.  OctaMED player window, before attempting to load another mod!

  37.               ABOUT THE MODULES
  38.               -----------------

  40.  BREAK IT DOWN (BOGIE MIX) Like the other two modules on this disk, this one
  41. -------------------------  was made using a mixture of PD samples, and
  42.                            guitar and voice samples I have taken myself
  43.                            using Megalosound. He might have died the year I
  44.                            was born, but I still think Humphrey Bogart was
  45.                            cool.
  46.  
  47.  PETE FUNK                 This was the first module I started on, and the 
  48.  ---------                 last of the three to be finished. The female 
  49.                            voice is that of a seventies TV presenter who 
  50.                            disapproved of this new fangled pop music. I
  51.                            began to discover player commands doing this
  52.                            one, but I managed to tear myself away before 
  53.                            I drowned the module in echo!!!
  54.  
  55.  WOODEN EYE                The idea of this one was to attempt to record
  56.  ----------                a structured song with a couple of different 
  57.                            solos on it. The title comes from the punchline
  58.                            of a dubious joke I heard a million years ago,
  59.                            and the voice sample is of a genius alas no
  60.                            longer with us!
